I believe it is a fair consequence. The students should learn to keep their environment a clean one. If they fail to do so, then they must pay the consequences.

It would be a fair punishment. The people littering the school would realize the consequences of their actions and thus change their ways. This punishmnet would affect the students who weren't littering and they in return would get on to the people littering and tell them to pick up after themselves.Eventually, the problem would be fixed and the students would be more aware of the consequences of their actions.

I am totally against littering the earth. Lets just say I hug trees literally. But why do you have to punish ALL of the population of the school when not everyone has done something. You could do something else ridiculous though. Such as if you see a kid throw trash on the floor on purpose then give them a write off or something else stupid. But then again things such as write offs and d-halls don't always work on kids and just make them angry and make them want to junk things up more. But that is what I would purpose.

It would be a good punishment. I personally have no biased opinion on the subject because I don't have any after school activities that I participate in. Some might argue that there is a janitor that is payed to clean up the school, yes thereis but doesn't mean you can be a slob and through your trash on the floors. This would be a fair punishment because the people that didn't make a mess would get onto the people making the messes and tell them to pick up after themselves.

I don't like the idea of stopping all after school activities because of a litter problem. The reasoning being not everyone is causing the problem. Instead of canceling after school activities they should bring in an incentive to pick up after yourself and for those really lazy slobs too. Punishing people will only do so much to help, you will still have plenty of people being lazy and not caring because the punishment didn't apply to them.

I think that suspending all the after school activities is a bit much. Wherever there is kids there will be litter. Even though that might have been all he can do i yhink it was a little extreme maybe when he sees someone littering he should make them clean a whole classroom or something.

Cancelling all after school activities may be harsh, but if that's what it takes to make students pay attention to how the litter situation has gotten out of control, that may be necessary. True, students who haven't been littering will have to pay the consequences, but since there is no way to track who litters and who doesn't (unless the school actually watches the surveillence cameras) it will have to do. Students should take pride in their school or at least learn to get off their lazy butts and use the trash cans.
