No, I ceartinly diagree with that because a sport like pretty much anything could be a person’s life and if the school got rid of those classes then the athletes wouldnt really understand whats going on when their on the feild or court or wherever. Taking sport classes out of school would be totally unfair and if it did happen which I dont think it will a bunch of people would get together wanting to sue whoever took the classes out of the school to begin with.

I believe that it is not fair to get rid of the sports classes because the students not only need to stay academically active but they also have to stay physically active. it is important to improve grades but it is also very important to keep the students happy by letting them play sports and let them do something fun after a whole day of pretty much just sitting down being bored out of their minds. This is what I believe.

This is not fair and will not be effective. If these are public schools, public middle schools/high schools, the students should have to at least have a C or above to be in the extracurricular program. Plus, I think I heard sports is a good way to increase brain activiy. If grades are a problem, the school district can motivate the students or get their attention by making things easier for them-encouraging tutoring, counsiling whatever.

I believe that this is fair. Sports are an extra curricular activity and they need to be done after school. I believe the grades would improve, because they would be taking more core classes that actually matter regarding college and carreer plans.

If they get a sports class to take up a spot in their schedule we should get a class to take up a spot in our schedule Just to deal with the play.

If you take away sports classes it will more then likely increase the sports player’s academics. They usually have practice right after school and it won’t last until 9 o’clock. They will still have decent time to study and to do homework. They will have an extra slot in their schedule to learn something new or if anything take a study hall. They should also be required to keep their grades up high in order to stay on the team (If they do that now, make it stricter). With them not taking a class specific to their sport it would be easier for them to be suspended from the team until their grades improve.

i disagree with this statment yes school is a place for bettering oneself academicaly but the sports and other activites also help them. if the principal decided to do this students who help support there family could not. If practice makes perfect why not pratice at the end of school because by the last ninety minuets of school students are alreadey drained and bored in the class room. Also by putting this notion in to effect you could also see futrue problems grades droppings, and worse dicsplinie rate increases that is why i disagree with this.

I believe that it would increase academics and grades. They could use the extra spot for something that would stick with them instead of only benefit them at the moment. It would also make it fair for the atheletes to practice after school. THEATRE AND PLAYS DON’T GET AN ENTIRE 90-150 MINUTES DURING SCHOOL!! So why should athletes? It is their responsibility for making plans to study. Practice does not go from 3-9 p.m. There should be plenty of time.

I believe that this would be fair. School is a place for learning not playing a sport. I firmly believe that grades would improve because they would be taking more academic classes than the sports class they are taking. It’s not like it would really be affecting they’re time because when they play sports they have to come to afternoon practice after school anyways.

This would be a bad idea because most athletes would have to stay later for practice and would have less time for homework and studying. Also, some students have jobs or other obligations and this would disrupt their home lives as well. These changes would overall make grades go down and only further hurt the students.
